Skyblock
Start on a tiny island over the void and grow it into an empire. Play alone or in a team of up to 4.
Getting there
Walk through the Skyblock gate on the east side of the hub plaza, or type /skyblock. The first time, you get a starter island of your own. After that, /skyblock takes you back to it.
Your starter island
- A classic L-shaped island: grass on two layers of dirt, with an oak tree on it.
- A covered cobblestone generator, ready to mine.
- A chest with 3 oak saplings, 8 wheat seeds, 1 sugar cane, 1 cactus, 8 bone meal and 5 bread.
Keep inventory is off in Skyblock, so if you die there you drop what you carry. Without a bed or a respawn anchor you respawn in the hub, and /skyblock takes you back to your island.
Island levels
Type /islevel to grow your island. You pay with Lira or dollars from your Skyblock wallet. Each level you buy widens your island's border. Every level except 2 and 4 also adds a slot for a Lira Generator, levels 2 to 9 add new ores to your cobblestone generator, and at level 10 the generator makes ore only.

Money on your island
- Its own wallet. Skyblock has its own Lira, dollars and skill levels, apart from Survival.
/walletshows the wallet of the world you are standing in. - Machines. Lira Generators and Auto-Sell Chests can only be placed on your own island. The number of Lira Generators depends on your island level (see the table); you can have up to 5 Auto-Sell Chests.
- Selling.
/shopworks here too. Nether and End items are in the shop, because portals to those worlds don't work in Skyblock.
Playing with friends
An island holds a team of up to 4. Invite a friend with /is invite and their name, and they join with /is accept. /is panel opens the island panel, with members, settings and permissions. /is visit takes you to another player's island, and /is top shows the island rankings.
Your first hour
- Walk through the Skyblock gate or type
/skyblock. - Open the chest, plant the saplings and start a farm.
- Mine the cobblestone generator and sell the stone in
/shop. - Buy your first island level with
/islevel.
